Tritronic Electronics Limited, formerly known as Hi-tech Electronics was formed in the September 1997 as a consumer electronics repair shop. The company started out repairing Televisions, VCRs, Cassette players, Cordless phones, Microwave oven and other household appliances. Our business did well for years. However, in  2008 the consumer electronics repair industry started to changed rapidly. Old analog appliances and equipment were being replaced with newer digital models. Repairs to these digital appliances would require replacing a circuit board or merely troubleshooting and repairing a power supply. Component replacement was no longer viable. This was due to the unavailability of parts and the complexity of circuit board design. Replacing the entire equipment has now becoming the cheaper and only option in most cases. Consumer electronics repair was dying fast; it was no longer as profitable as it was in the past.

Our history in the electronics repair business has thought us a lot. As new digital appliances and equipment

emerges, our customers number one complain was that there appliances were being damaged while plugged into surge protectors. The team at Tritronic immediately started to research these complains and concluded that this was due to new emerging digital appliance/equipment being plugged into old analog surge protectors. With this knowledge in mind we decided to shift our focus from consumer electronics repair and step into the world of electronic designing and manufacturing.

In January 2013, the company gave birth to our first locally designed and manufactured digital surge protector. The Ultimate digital Surge Protector by Tritronic Electronics Limited. Since its introduction, the Ultimate has been rated by industry professionals as the number one surge protector on the market, in fact, it has been said that the Ultimate Digital Surge Protector is the only surge protector that really works.
